The Collaboration for Oncology Data in Europe (CODE) is delighted to be supporting the European CanCer Organisation (ECCO) 2019 Summit.
The Summit on 12-14 September in Brussels, Belgium is aimed at global leaders from cancer care, research, patient advocacy and public-private sectors. This year’s Summit theme “European Cancer Care: Across Borders” focuses on the 70:35 Vision for cancer – 70% long term survival for all cancer patients across Europe by 2035.
“We look forward to attending this years’ Summit to participate in discussions around improving European cancer care and building on our previous collaboration with ECCO on research into pragmatic outcomes measurement.”
– Dr. Ashley Woolmore, Senior Vice President, Head of European Data and Evidence Networks, and CODE Lead at IQVIA
At the ECCO 2018 Summit, the ECCO-CODE report Understanding Pragmatic Outcome Measures in Oncology was published. In this joint project we explored the clinical and patient value of various outcome measures as well as their complexity to measure. The report, which included interviews with patients and clinicians, presented findings that represent a key step in Europe’s move toward outcomes-based care in cancer.
